A funny thing happened on the way to a book launch

I was all set last year to launch my four book paranormal romance series, then titled The Were-Witch Chronicles, when my publisher came to me with the amazing news that they were going to release the titles individually spaced over a few months. It was wonderful news, as any author would attest, because it meant my four books would get their own moment in the sun, and also, there could be build of releases instead of all four released as a box set.

We then of course had to set about giving each book a new name and the series a new title, because this was going to be a different marketing-publicity beast. Thankfully, I learned years ago that a rose can in actual fact be called by a different name. Perhaps not a skunk cabbage, (all of you who love Anne of Green Gables would get that reference! ;)) but my point is, that books can be called by different names and be equally engaging as they were with the name the author came up with in the first place when they sat down to write the book. I’ve never attached myself to the names of my books, because when you get to the point of publishing, there is often need for a change. So, I took this as a moment of excitement and new beginnings and set about with glee thinking up names and shooting them off to my publisher who came back with their own ideas. It was a fun time with plenty of laughs at some of the absurd combinations and lots of reasoning out the whys and wherefores of good titles – to be or not to be a witch, were or shifter, that is the question!

We very quickly headed in a particular direction and realised what was needed was series title and individual book titles that captured the themes in the book as well as playing with the ideas of the ties of family, of friendship of love and to pack and expressed the paranormal side of things well.

So, here I unveil the new titles:

Pack Bound

Moon Bound

Shifter Bound

Wolf Bound

I am so thrilled with these titles and what they say about my series – now known as the Pack Bound Series. Most exciting of all, the first one in the series, Pack Bound, is to be released next week on the 12/3/18.

You can buy it on pre-order, and currently it is at a discounted price – so an ideal time to buy and get stuck into this Australian-set series that I’m so proud of and thrilled to be sending out into the world.

One pack, one coven, a destiny intertwined…

Five hundred years ago, facing extinction, a group of powerful witches united to create a pact with the Were to save witch-kind. The pact expelled an ancient evil, known only as The Darkness, that was blocking the Were from their wolves. With the Darkness destroyed, the Packs and their Covens grew strong as they thrived beside each other in their brand new world.

But the Darkness was not destroyed.

Skye Collins, has been brought up to fear her magic and shy away from Witch and Were alike. But when Jason McVale, the Alpha of Pack McVale, comes in search of her, she is intrigued and tempted. Her mistrust of magic and wariness of the intensity of passion she shares with Jason threatens her control – and if she loses control, she just might turn into the weapon The Darkness intended her to become all along.
