Ellie’s Wordfest: Authors present online workshops for charity

I am thrilled to announce that I have been asked to be one of the authors presenting for Ellie’s Wordfest – an online writer’s festival to raise money charity drive for Greyhound rescue which goes from 6th April – 12th April.

The brainchild of popular Australian author and workshop presenter, Rachel Bailey, Ellie’s Wordfest is a week long online writing festival showcasing the skills and talents of 45 of Australia’s most talented and loved Australian romance writers.

It includes writing workshops, Q&As, articles, FB live, author interviews and more, from writers, freelance editors and marketing experts – a feast of education and personal development for writers at any stage of their journey.

How does an online writer’s festival work?

New presentations and documents will be uploaded to the Ellie’s Wordfest Facebook Group every day during that week as well as various live Q&A sessions and interviews. For a nominal donation when you sign up, you can dip in and out as often as you like. And like any good festival, you can pick and choose what you want to view/read/participate in. If you want to see everything, you can. If you’re only there for a few authors, you don’t need to sample anything else. It’s all up to you.

How do I join in the fun?

(As per the instructions on the Ellie’s WordFest page) Membership of the Ellie’s WordFest group is a bonus benefit for every $10 (Australian) donation to I Want a Greyhound (IWaG). (Though, obviously, you’re not limited to only a $10 donation – you can chuck them a few extra $$ if you want!) See Ellie’s WordFest page for details of how to access if you’re not in Australia.

How to donate:

1. Go to the IWaG donation page, which will give you options via PayPal and bank transfer.
www.iwag.com.au/donate

2. In the description write Ellie (so we can keep track of our totals) and your surname: ‘EllieSurname’

3. PM our Facebook page with proof of your donation, such as a screenshot of your PayPal receipt.

4. One of our team of volunteers will get back to you ASAP.

The $10 donation is tax deductible for Australians. If you’re going to claim the donation on your tax, there’s an email address at the bottom of the IWaG donate webpage to request a receipt.

That’s it! Easy, right? If you have any problems, PM the page.

So, come and join us for this amazing week of fun and personal development. Sign up now and don’t miss out.

I hope to see you there!
